Tikehau diving fun dive exploration
We offer a half-day exploration dive as well as dives "Sunset". The departure times are not fixed and often depend on the tides.
Due to the remoteness of the Tuheiava pass, we propose double dives on the two sites most frequented by the fauna, "Poïto" and "Teonai".
Depending on the currents, we make drift or reef dives.
The fauna and flora are already visible at a very shallow depth, no need to go deeper than 20 meters. We often see schools of bigeye trevally, barracuda, tuna, sometimes eagle rays, manta rays, and sharks (big hammerhead, grey, tiger, white reef fins etc...)

How does it work?

The dives are perfectly adapted to all levels of diving, but also ideal forthe first experiences of diving and snorkelings. Between the two dives our team will serve you a snack and a hot tea, to enjoy while sharing your experiences on board the boats.
During this half day, we also include a snorkeling stop at the old pearl farm of Tikehau, meeting point of the Manta Rays, to get cleaned.
We provide free pickup from your accommodation to the center and back. Except for the accommodations at a distance from our base, Hakamanu and Fafarua lodge for which a financial participation will be asked.

Sunset dives
with Tikehau Diving.

Not to be confused with a night dive, you will leave in the late afternoon for a very popular single dive to observe predation.
The atmosphere changes the predators: tunas, napoleons and sharks come up to the pass to feed.
You will slowly come back to the surface at sunset.
During the return of your dive, a small glass of fresh arranger rum will be offered to you.

Pick-up around 3:00 pm to come to the club to get your equipment, or we will pick up all your sizes and prepare your equipment to pick you up at the hotel, Ninamu resort or at the pass. Return to the village around 6:00 pm.
The outing takes place with a minimum of 4 divers.

(Sunset dives are not recommended for guests staying on Hakamanu and Fafarua, as we do not sail at night for the return pickup).
