Tikehau Diving sites
Tu Heiava, the only pass of TIKEHAU
is a magical place, easy dives that will remain in your memory. Several dive sites are to be discovered or rediscovered, for example: TENOAI, TU HEIAVA Pass (drift), Shark Hole, ARAMU RAMU.

Attention, the choice of the diving site is not available.
They are selected by our team according to the weather and currents.

Ocean - North corner of Tikehau pass
The launch is done on the coral reef which slopes gently. Along the drop off, in the rock, presence of moray eels and ray pteroi. Big blue side: Tuna, Heller's sand dunes. We arrive then in a circus on a bottom of 20m, here, presence of stone fish, bench of paddle tail snapper, snapper with blue stripes, White tip sharks, possibility to see eagle rays by letting go towards the pass.

    Ocean - North corner of the tikehau pass.

    The launch is done on the coral reef which slopes gently. Along the wall, in the rock, presence of moray eels and ray pteroi. On the deep blue side: tunas, schools of Heller's snapper. We then arrive in a circus on a 20m bottom, here, presence of Stonefish, school of Paddlefish, Blue ray perch, White tip sharks, possibility to meet Eagle Rays by letting yourself go towards the pass.

If the current is returning, drift dive in the pass. The start is done to the right of left, with a descent into the blue, we are off to the first step to see grey sharks and eagle rays. The current takes us we meet different species of trevallies (disheveled, big eyes, lures, striped, point yellow etc...) and sharks.

Attention, we must remain attentive, at the end of the idve we will pass near fish traps opportunities to cross the big sharks (big Hammer head, Tiger).

    Drift.

    If the current is incoming, we drift dive in the pass. The departure is done either on the right or on the left, with a descent in the blue, we left for the first walk in search of grey sharks and leopard rays. The current carries us away and we will meet different species of trevallies (striped, big-eyed, lures, yellow-spotted, etc...) and sharks.

    Attention, we must remain attentive, at the end of the dive, we will pass near the fish traps, and there is a possibility of encountering big sharks (great hammerhead, tiger).

If the current is outgoing, we dive on the south angle which is very different from the north angle, presence of schools of bigeye trevallies, silvertip shark and whitetip reef shark, Lion fish, Barracuda, sea turtles, Napoelon, and sometimes Manta rays coming out of the lagoon. A sure value.

    If the current is outgoing, we dive on the south corner which is very different from the north corner, presence of school of bigeye trevally, white fin sharks of the reef and white tip of the lagoon, lion fish, Barracuda turtles, Napoleon turtles and sometimes Manta coming out of the lagoon. A sure value.

Possibility of deep dive for more experienced divers. The drop start from 15 meters is spectacular, it is carpeted Rougets big eyes and goes deeper than the divers are allowed to go down. The most experienced will stop to 50 meters. The presence of gray sharks is not uncommon. For the less experienced this dive is remarkable by the multitude of red eyes (-20m) and the colors of the drop. The dive continues drifting along the slope to the pass.
